Céira Moroney

Consultant Speech & Language Therapist

Alongside her consultancy with The Adult Autism & ADHD Practice, Céira is a Senior Speech and Language Therapist at The Children’s Clinic. She is a graduate from Trinity College Dublin and is passionate about delivering holistic and neuroaffirmative assessment and therapy to her clients. Céira is registered with CORU and is a full member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.

Growing up with a disabled sibling, introduced her to a world of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) from an early age. This gift of early exposure sparked a keen interest in AAC and led to her pursuing a career in Speech and Language Therapy.

She herself is neurodivergent, she is autistic and ADHD. These identifications allow her to pair her personal experience alongside her clinical expertise. Like many people who identify as female, Céira discovered her AuDHD identity in adulthood which inspired her desire to work and collaborate with fellow neurodivergent people and their families.

She is a proud ally for the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create a safe space for people to express themselves authentically. Céira has experience collaborating with adults who use AAC, have an intellectual disability and who are neurodivergent. She is incredibly passionate about empowering, advocating and supporting fellow neurodivergent adults to exist as their true selves.

Céira does not directly work with clients in the practice, but works with the team in a consultative role in relation to best practice speech & language therapy support and understanding throughout our identification processes.
