psychologist will help answer the questions you've been asking yourself and guide you through what comes next -

including the pros and cons of pursuing formal Collaborative Autistic Experience Identification.

  • First Appointment (1-1.5 hours): Before the first session, clients complete a detailed intake form which their clinical psychologist reviews and uses to guide an exploration of their lived experiences and personal history.

Second Appointment (1-1.5 hours): The clinical psychologist builds on themes that emerged in the first appointment, going deeper into the client's experiences and understanding.

Third Appointment (1-1.5 hours): This session reviews the key themes from both previous appointments and formally arrives at Autistic identification (or not). Because of the open, collaborative nature of the process, clients typically enter this session with a clear sense of the outcome - there are no dramatic reveals, just confirmation and clarity.

Included with your assessment is a one-to-one support session with our trusted partners the award-winning non-profit, Thriving Autistic. They'll welcome you into a vibrant neurodivergent community with social meet-ups, advocacy support, tailored resources, and provide access to their award-winning 6-week Discover Programme.

Autistic & ADHD Experience Assessment

  • Collaborative Autistic and ADHD Identification is a partnership between you and your psychologist. Together, you'll explore your experiences through five meaningful 1–1.5 hour in-depth sessions.

This process is neurodiversity-affirming and designed to help you gain clarity about whether you identify as Autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD. It’s an open, reflective approach that celebrates your strengths while acknowledging the realities of neurodivergent living.

Whatever path you choose, our clinical psychologists will offer expert guidance and support every step of the way.

  • First Appointment (1–1.5 hours)
After completing a detailed intake form, clients meet with their clinical psychologist to explore their lived experiences and personal history. This initial conversation establishes the foundation for understanding how they experience the world.

    Second Appointment (1–1.5 hours)
The clinical psychologist expands on themes that emerged in the first session, delving deeper into specific experiences and patterns that may illuminate the client's neurodivergent identity.

    Third Appointment (1–1.5 hours)
This session examines the emerging themes more closely, exploring the nuances of how the client navigates daily life and interprets their experiences through a potentially Autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD lens.

    Fourth Appointment (1–1.5 hours)
The clinical psychologist brings together insights from all previous sessions, examining patterns and connections across the client's lifetime experiences. This deeper synthesis helps clarify how different aspects of their life may relate to being Autistic, having ADHD, or being AuDHD.

    Fifth Appointment (1–1.5 hours)
In this final session, the clinical psychologist and client review everything explored together and formally arrive at identification – whether Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, or another understanding. Because of the clear, open collaborative approach throughout, clients usually enter this appointment with a clear sense of the outcome. This session offers confirmation, clarity about their identity, and guidance for moving forward.

    Post-identification Support
Included with your assessment is a one-to-one support session with our trusted partners, the award-winning non-profit Thriving Autistic. Follow-on
Assessments

  • Our follow-on assessments are designed for anyone who has already completed an Autistic or ADHD Experience Assessment and now wishes to explore the other area in more depth. You can decide this in your own time. Many people naturally grow curious as their understanding deepens, and choosing a psychologist who works across both lived Autistic and ADHD experiences means you can continue with someone who already knows you and your story. There’s no need to start again or re-explain your history.

  • When you’re ready, you’ll complete a dedicated booking form for returning clients. Your psychologist will guide you through two additional online sessions, focused on exploring either your lived ADHD experience or your lived Autistic experience, depending on what you’d like to understand further. The structure mirrors your first assessment but is tailored to build on what you’ve already covered.
