Trish is a Counselling Psychologist and Chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.

Trish is a multi-neurodivergent (autistic ADHDer with synesthesia, Ehler’s Danlos and dyscalcula) Counselling Psychologist who is passionate about supporting all neurodivergent people, especially autistic adults identified in adulthood, to live authentically, unmasked, fully supported and celebrating our neurodivergence.

Trish completed her doctorate in counselling psychology at Trinity College Dublin in 2014. She has always been passionate about supporting marginalised, misunderstood and underserved groups and people. Discovering that she was autistic and ADHD in her 40’s has really supported Trish to better understand herself and learn more about how she can best support other autistic and neurodivergent adults.

Trish has facilitated multiple trainings internationally on working with neurodivergent and gender and sexual minorities from an affirmative and strengths-based perspective. She co-wrote the number one bestselling self-help book The Power of Small, alongside her multi-neurodivergent psychologist wife Aisling, published by Hachette Ireland in 2019, and contributed to Mindfulness and Acceptance for Gender and Sexual Minorities, published by New Harbinger in 2016. Trish co-created Navigating Neurodivergent Relationships Compassionately and Effectively. She has also contributed to and been featured in various media including The Irish Times, The Irish Independent and Ireland am.

Trish has experience working across multiple settings both 1:1 and within groups from a trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming, queer affirming compassionate stance. Those who work with Trish appreciate the authentic, compassionate way she listens and how she shares about psychological tools in a way that is practical, tangible and makes sense to autistic and neurodivergent minds and hearts.

Trish lives with her wife, dog and four cats in rural county Wexford. Her SPINs (autistic special interests) include music, movies, writing, arts and crafts, star and planet gazing and appreciating, psychology and supporting neurodivergent people to live more authentically.
