Treasa is a Clinical Psychologist, Chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council. With experience in a broad range of services across the island of Ireland, Treasa has worked with Autistic people in various settings and contexts

Treasa completed her BA in Applied Psychology and MA in Applied Psychology (Mental Health) in University College Cork. After two years as an Assistant Psychologist across services that work with intellectual disability, child and adolescent mental health, and adult mental health and offending behaviour in a prison-based setting, Treasa went on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) in Queen’s University Belfast

Prior to joining The Adult Autism Practice team, Treasa worked in a paediatric psychology service that supports young people, their families, their medical teams and their wider social networks, in coping and living well with various physical health conditions. Her ongoing research practice is focused on amplifying the voices of people experiencing particular phenomena that impact on health and wellbeing, such as living with the condition of asthma, and being a child of parents who foster care

Treasa is passionate about delivering trauma-informed care and integrates strengths-based and human rights-based approaches in her clinical practice. She is committed to offering a neurodiversity-affirmative and therapeutic process of assessment, and developing a trustful and collaborative relationship with the client in which they feel safe, respected and understood
